What made you choose Pink Door Boudoir? I researched different photographers in the area and came across Pink Door Boudoir and fell in love with the style. I had actually been following her for about a year before I actually booked my session, due to my own nerves!
Before arriving, were you nervous? What things were you especially nervous about? Then, once you arrived and we got started, how did that change? I was so nervous, this was way out of my comfort zone. After having 2 babies I lost all confidence I had so I was super nervous about how the pictures were going to turn out because of my insecurities. Once we got started, it quickly went away. Marie started posing me and giving me directions and then the best part was she showed me a few of the pictures which made me feel so much better about how things were going and how I was looking.
Tell us about your hair and make-up transformation: I have never actually had my make up professionally done before, so I was nervous. But Sam is a professional for a reason she made it look so easy and did a phenomenal job on my make up, and gave me those gorgeous full of volume beach waves with my hair. She made me feel comfortable and like a super model all at the same time.
What did you love most about your photo session? I loved how easy going and chill the whole thing was. Marie is great at what she does and you can tell by how smoothly she ran things, she didn’t skip a beat when it came to coming up with poses and ideas. She took the thinking part of it out of the equation for me, and it made me so much more comfortable.
After seeing your online gallery, how did you feel? I felt like a bad ass to be honest. It was even better than I imagined. I wanted to immediately show my husband instead of wait to surprise him. It was empowering to see your vision combined with someone else’s and it turned out better than I imagined.
What would you say to another lady who is considering a boudoir session at Pink Door? Book now! Seriously you will not regret it. I myself now understand why Marie has so many returning clients. She does the work, you basically just show up with your outfits and she will take care of the rest. Also if you have an idea she helps you bring it to life, she was great at listening to what I wanted as well. She made me feel comfortable and confident the whole time.
